On August 15, 2020, The Nation will celebrate the 74th Independence Day. Prime minister of India Mr. Narendra Modi will unfurl the National Flag accompanied by national anthem and 21-gun salute at the majestic Red Fort in New Delhi. He will address the nation from the ramparts of the iconic monument.
This Year, India’s 74th Independence Day celebration will be different due to the coronavirus pandemic. People are requested to stay home, maintain all social distancing and safety guidelines, and keep yourself and your community safe and celebrate the day.
The home ministry has issued advisories to all states regarding the Independence Day celebrations. All the states have been asked to give a fresh push to the theme of “Aatmanirbhar Bharat”.
“It would be appropriate that the theme of ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ is suitably spread and publicised among the masses through various activities/ messages in the functions and on the social media during the Independence Day celebrations,” the ministry said.
