Bigspoon – Cloud Kitchen Startup has raised 15Cr in Pre Series round of funding

Bigspoon, Ahmedabad-based cloud kitchen start-up founded in 2019. Bigspoon is a multi-brand and omnichannel cloud kitchen business focused on Tier-II cities. The startup is founded by Mr. Kapil Mathrani and Poojan Thakkar.

The Startup is having six live brands under the Bigspoon umbrella – Makhni Brothers (Authentic North Indian Cuisine), Meals101 (Chinese and Global Meals-for-one), Oven & Grill (American Fast-food) and latest offering, Thali Central (Thali meals ), The Wrap Co. (Roomali Wraps Brand) and The Monkey Fries (Fries brand) and have presence in 10 cities across Gujarat, MP, Maharashtra, Telengana, UP and Rajasthan.

According to Bigspoon, the foodtech market in India was valued at Rs 289.36 billion in 2019 and is expected to reach Rs 1,868.19 billion by 2025, expanding at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of over 39 percent during the 2021-2025 period.

Bigspoon has raised a total of $4.3M till date. MABS, Urmin Group, Lemonade Stand, Yash Shah, CreedCap Asia Advisors, Bhanu Chopra, NB Ventures, Jatin Aneja, Zed Capital, Sanjiv Bajaj have Invested in Bigspoon.

Bigspoon will use this funding for market expansion, reaching across 30 cities through 50 outlets by the end of this financial year. Besides, the startup will also use the funding for hiring and product development.
